made the trek east to hayward in the afternoon for the bistro's double IPA festival, where they had approximately 50 enamel-scraping hop monsters to sample. admisssion bought you a taster glass with 5 samples, but cozing up to any of the servers almost guaranteed a few extra in the bank.
hand crafted brews from rogue, stone, russian river and locals like 21st amendment (san francisco) and triple rock (berkeley) were on hand, with dogfish head's 120-minute IPA clocking in at 17.6% abv.
